1958 Stockholm Sweden, Double Link Chain Graduated Width Necklace in 18k Gold - 17 inch length

Luxurious vintage 18K gold, 17 inch length, 13.2 grams, graduated width double-link necklace. Handmade in Stockholm, Sweden by maker EAG, dated 1958.

This chain has a unique patina. The interior of each link has been treated to have a darker patina than the polished exterior. This creates strong gold highlights that show off the defined link pattern. 

This link type is called a double-link - pairs of links run side by side - like two curb chains delicately soldered, link by link, to form a double length of links. This creates a smooth strong chain that will last for generations.

I love the elegant movement of this gold link style, it languidly follows the form of your collarbone.
